Jill Thomas Co-Founder CEO and
President Jill is responsible for
leading IONs executive team in the execution of the companys
vision. An expert in strategy formulation, executive team development and
strategic alliances, Jill possesses 15 years of experience in leadership
management, development and implementation.
Transitioning
from the original programmer/designer of ION software to company CEO, Jill now
leads the company into the global market with representatives in South Africa,
South America and the Philippines-- comprising over 35,000 users in 14
different countries.
Jill is the
recipient of 20 awards for entries in electronic communications and
publications. She is a member of the Open eBook Forum (OeBF), the World Wide
Web Consortium (W3C) User Accessibilitys Special Interest Group, and the
Accessibility Forum. Jill received her bachelors and masters degrees from the
University of Missouri, Columbia, graduating Summa cum Laude. Jills work
experience, as a science graduate teaching assistant, at the University of
Missouri, Eureka Jr. High, a local elementary school, and doctoral work in
learning styles, provided the knowledge base upon which the core methodology of
information consumption was founded. Having taught legally blind, dyslexic and
scotopic students sensitized Jill to the needs of a varied audience.
Tom Thomas Co-founder Chairman &
Director of Business Development Tom Thomas founded ION Systems in 1992 and has directed
the development of the firm's product strategy, internal management, industry
relationships, and sales outreach.
Tom is a long
time entrepreneur in electronic publishing.
In 1986 he established a consultancy, a pioneering
firm providing electronic publishing and turnkey imaging systems for newspaper
and magazine publishers across the U.S.
Tom received
his BA from the University of Texas and served as an adjunct faculty professor
at Webster University. Recognized as a visionary in electronic publication
systems, he has given numerous seminars on electronic publishing and
communications.
